Prem Iyer is an enterprise technology leader with over two decades of diverse experience. Throughout his career he has been dedicated to driving revenue growth and cultivating strategic partnerships that propel organizations to unparalleled success.Prem is known for his ability to navigate and excel within diverse partnership channels, ranging from global systems integrators, cloud providers, value-added resellers, distributors, and service providers. He specializes in addressing common industry challenges, from overcoming limitations in direct capabilities to establishing scalable revenue streams.
Starting his career in cybersecurity services, Prem quickly pivoted into technology sales, capitalizing on his deep partner knowledge. At RedSeal Networks, he led the expansion of North American channels, achieving remarkable growth in just two quarters. Transitioning to Trusteer, Prem oversaw global channels, seamlessly integrating partner programs into IBM's ecosystem. Later, at ThousandEyes under Cisco, he continued to drive global channel strategies, leveraging his expertise to foster success.
In 2015, Prem co-founded Rekonnex, a mobile-first platform for private networks, where he championed curated event programming and networking opportunities. Their innovative approach earned them recognition, winning the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Global New Venture Challenge from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
Prem joined Palo Alto Networks in 2017 as a Senior Director of Business Development and is currently serving as the SVP of Global Ecosystems. During his tenure, Prem has been instrumental in driving Palo Alto's market cap growth from $20B to $100B, establishing strategic partnerships with industry leaders to solidify the company's position as a dominant force in cybersecurity.
Prem regularly briefs C-level executives and board members around cyber challenges to the enterprise, and solutions to mitigate business risk. Committed to knowledge sharing, he actively participates in speaking engagements, offering valuable insights and experiences to industry peers.
