Jeff retired from VC backed tech startups after a 15 year journey and 3 consecutive exits including two IPO's (Zoom, Voltaire) & one acquisition (Meraki by Cisco). Jeff is now focused on having impact through achieving positive consumer health outcomes by taking on board roles with technology disruptors in the areas of preventative healthcare and longevity.For those board roles Jeff is active in, he collaborates with company founders & GTM leaders to help them focus, formulate and improve their business plans and coach them to navigate ongoing challenges & opportunities to maximize their growth. His expertise being leveraged include shaping Go-To-Market strategies, honing investor pitches to aide in capital raising, brand building, mitigating unforeseen risks to growth and optimizing organizational structure.
Prior to retiring from operator roles in VC startups, Jeff spent 15 years working in a variety of sales leadership roles across three tech startups with all three successfully exiting. Most recently he was the Head of Enterprise for Zoom with responsibility to grow sales with the world’s largest Global Enterprises where we grew sales from $4M to $500M ARR. He was a member of Eric Yuan's Executive Leadership Team working very closely with marketing, product, customer success, support, sales operations, operations, solution engineering & channel with the objective to ensure all cross functional teams prioritized the right activities to align with penetrating the Global Enterprise market. He also played the roles of lead presenter to the CXO’s, deal strategist and problem solver for his team.
Prior to Zoom, Jeff spent five years at Meraki where he served in a variety of sales roles with the last two years leading Cisco-Meraki’s Americas Sales Organization participating in the growth journey from $5M to $300M ARR. Cisco acquired Meraki for $1.2B and has since become Cisco's unified cloud management platform across both Meraki and Cisco networking products.
Prior to Meraki, Jeff spent five years at Voltaire in the role of Global Account Manager selling in to IBM’s High Performance Computing divisions. Voltaire technology is now a component of Nvidia's GPU platform. Voltaire was pre-revenue when he joined and he helped lead the company to an IPO in July 2007.
Jeff is super excited & passionate to play a role in the disruption that is starting to take place to improve consumer health.
